About Us

Ha Meem Foundation

Ha Meem Foundation is a registered charitable organisation in the UK with the mission of:

  • imparting authentic traditional Islamic knowledge
  • providing guidance based upon the teaching of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad and
  • serving the needs of the community through social, spiritual and well-being initiatives.

We believe that the teaching of the Final Prophet ﷺ is the only source of Light and Guidance for Mankind in the midst of the enveloping darkness of the End Times.

Our intention is to do our part in fulfilling the communal obligation upon this blessed community (ummah) to learn, act upon and transmit to others the teaching of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger .

This teaching has come to us, without change or corruption, from the breaths of the Beloved Messenger himself through his Noble Companions and the hearts of Pious Believers in each generation until our own.

Those in each generation who carried this Light struggled and strived in the Path of Allah with their wealth and their lives until the words of Allah became true of them:

Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah: of them some have completed their vow (to the extreme), and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least. [Ahzab:23]

We firmly believe that the Noble Quran is the only Light that can and will dispel the darkness of Falsehood that a godless, globalising civilization has brought upon the Earth. Only with the illumination of the Quran and Sunnah will be able to understand the Age we live in and traverse the path to Eternal Salvation and Felicity.

We intend to proceed, with the guidance and advice of our respected elders and scholars, to systematically analyse and prioritise, depending upon the resources available to us, to establish centres in which the work of Islamic teaching, prophetic spiritual guidance, community building and da’wa (missionary work) can take place.  These four domains constitute the areas we have identified as critical to furthering the lofty objectives for which the Ha Meem Foundation has been established.

We have already been working in the local community of Hounslow and West London for several years as West London School of Islamic Studies and a huge number of individuals have attended our classes in traditional Islamic knowledge as well as our conferences and events.

Our current efforts can be grouped under the following initiatives:

Ha Meem Foundation wants to ignite the passion and inspire young people to be well equipped in their understanding of the middle path within the Deen and thereby save them from falling into the hands of extremists.

It is our hope that Allah the Transcendent and Exalted accepts our efforts, purifies our intentions, and makes Ha Meem Foundation a centre for authentic traditional Islamic learning and spiritual guidance in the UK.

Endorsement

‘Learning is an obligation for all Muslims, as the Prophet ﷺ said, which includes men and women both and both equally;
“The learning that is obligatory is so because knowledge is a means to know God and His creation, which is a condition of good worship”.
So learning must be in the right cultural context, meaning that students are not distracted from that purpose. That is why, given the conditions in this country, it is necessary for Muslims to provide special facilities for girls once they have reached secondary school age.

I fully support the efforts of Ha Meem Foundation to establish a secondary school for girls in West London.’

Muslims in Britain

According to Islamic law (Shari’ah), it is necessary for Muslims living in a non-Muslim land, such as Britain, to be honest, upright and just. Specifically, it is completely forbidden for a Muslim who is living under the security of the non-Muslim state to engage in any form of violence or terrorism against his non-Muslim neighbours, as has been stated very clearly in the famous classical manual of Islamic law, ‘ The Hidayah.
