Coffee Mornings

This is a fortnightly event designed to help serve the needs of our honourable elderly community.

Come and partake in an exciting range of activities whilst making new friends, in a safe and secure environment!

The Muslim community has a very clear social hierarchy that places elders at the top. Elderly individuals are highly valued not only because they are a source of wisdom and experience but also because of their special status in the eyes of Allah. Therefore, they are highly respected, their opinions are heeded and their wishes are accommodated whenever possible.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Part of glorifying Allah is honouring the grey-haired Muslim.” [Abu Dawood]

The Prophet ﷺ said: “He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young ones and respect our old ones.” [Tirmidhi]

The event is FREE and open for both ladies and men.

Muslims in Britain

According to Islamic law (Shari’ah), it is necessary for Muslims living in a non-Muslim land, such as Britain, to be honest, upright and just. Specifically, it is completely forbidden for a Muslim who is living under the security of the non-Muslim state to engage in any form of violence or terrorism against his non-Muslim neighbours, as has been stated very clearly in the famous classical manual of Islamic law, ‘ The Hidayah.
